Message in a Bottle

I was tagged by Tish for this short and simple meme. At first I thought it was a massage in a bottle and got a little confused (and excited at the same time), but then I actually read the rules and it’s all so clear to me now. So here goes nothin’…

Rules:

You are about to send a virtual ‘Message in a Bottle’ across the Blog Ocean. Leave a message in the sand or on the bottle. Write anything you wish. Be a pirate or a poet. Serious or silly. Anonymous or not. What message would you like to send out to the universe?

Message in A Bottle Meme:

1. Compose a message to place in your virtual bottle.

2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.

Message in a Bottle

3. Use a graphics program of your choice to place the message on the picture.

4. Post the Message in a Bottle meme and your creation on your blog along with these rules.

5. Tag a minimum of 5 bloggers - or your entire blogroll - to do the same. Notify them of the tag.

Your virtual bottle will remain afloat in the blogosphere ocean for all blogernity (That’s a Mimism for blog + eternity.)

So, if you are tagged by me, go over to Mimi’s and ADD your site to her Mr. Linky list and place your blog’s name and url in a comment here to let Mimi know you’ve completed the meme. Mimi will add it to the master list of message bottles. Email mimiwrites2005 at yahoo.com if you have questions. Participation is optional.

So here’s my message in a bottle.

Dude, I have better things to do than sit around and put text on an image. Why not just send me an email that says “your will die in 5 days if you don’t send this to 10 people”?

lol, mmm.. normally i pass on meme’s too. but i like to play around w/ text and graphics so i’m going to do this the moment i get home to my baby *wink*

That message is just so…

you.

;)

Thanks for passing the bottle!

Be careful what you ask for. You might just end up with 1 ply toilet paper. Now, that’s just plain nasty.

Ha! I just read the post referenced above a few days ago and commented on it. How odd that it would just happen to be mentioned here.

Brian - Ouch. That like, really hurts, man. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an email to send to some friends before I die…

Christine - Yeah, this one was easily the simplest meme to do so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Tish - Heh. I take it you approve? I really had no clue what to write. I think I spent more time picking out a font then figuring out what to say.

Lis - We had that super crappy sandpaper 1-ply at one of my old jobs. Where roughly 25 guys (all in their early 20s) shared 1 bathroom. And ate at Taco Bell regularly. Yeah, no fun.

Your message bottle is now afloat in the vast blogosphere ocean. You are Message In a Bottle #221.
Feel free to toss in a bottle whenever you feel the urge to send a message. The blog ocean is always open. You never know what might wash ashore.
